Daniel Galmiche

Growing up in Eastern France, it's no surprise that Daniel's speciality lies in French cuisine.  With an ambition to become a chef from an early age, he enrolled in catering college at fifteen before undertaking a three-year apprenticeship at Hotel Beausite's Michelin starred restaurant, headed up by Yves Lalloz.

Later roles took Daniel across the world, to Sweden, Portugal and Singapore - the latter inspiring an Asian flair to Daniel's dishes. He demonstrated his Michelin prowess by retaining the star at Harvey's restaurant in Bristol, before going on to win his own at Cliveden House in 2006.

Daniel spent nearly seven years at The Vineyard as Executive Chef and won the Rising Chef Trophy 2010 - 2011 from Relais & Châteaux. As well as regular appearances on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen Daniel has written several successful cookery books both in his native French and in English.

Daniel has a passion for ecologically friendly produce and regularly sits on the judging panel of The Soil Association Organic Awards. In November 2017, Daniel announced a brand new service called Michelin Star Dining in Your Own Home, which will see Daniel providing his first-class culinary skills as a private dinner chef at events and functions.   Daniel currently heads up The Gore in Kensington.
