Discovery afternoon Tea

Enjoy all of the delights of full afternoon tea with a tea to match each course. Great teas are made in similar styles and rely on all of the same conditions as the great wines do. So why not allow us to create a tasting experience of Britain’s favourite hot beverage?

£38 per person

For the month a head we have chosen three teas from single estates that will enhance the flavours of your afternoon tea.

Silver Tips - A rarerity among the distinctive white teas. Our Silver Tips are handpicked before sunrise on Brunswick estate, Maskeliya. It takes almost five kilos of hand-picked buds to produce one kilo of this very special tea. There is subtlety woven within the intricacies of this tea, which contains an aromatic scent and a matchless taste that varies with each brew.

  1. St Andrews Tea garden lies in the world famous Dimbula valley. Growing at a high elevation the tea fields are often covered in a swirling mist that lifts as the sun rises. St Andrews is one of a handful of estates in the region that produce large leaf teas. Coupled with the high elevation the brew is a rosy colour and the perfect Afternoon Tea.

Waldemar Roasted Oolong - Grown at 6000ft on Waldemar estate, this Oolong is the perfect autumnal brew. The Deep roasting process produces a rich and autumnal tea with fragrant notes of poached pears with a sweet nutty finish.
