The Wine
The Vineyard at Stockcross takes its name and inspiration from the owner's very own winery, the Peter Michael Winery, in the mountainous landscape of northern California, rated by wine aficionados as being among the great wine estates of the world; Californian richness with more than a hint of European elegance.
Our wine list encapsulates the world of wine and, whilst California is covered in exceptional depth with over 800 bins, the rest of the world is no less neglected with all the superstars you would expect from France, Italy, Spain and Australia plus a few less-known places such as India and Greece. All told, the list sits at around 2300 bins but is always a ‘work in progress’ as we seek out new and interesting bottles almost daily!
We have an extensive list of over 50 bottles under £25, proving that fine wine need not always be expensive wine, and a by-the-glass selection that frequently changes to match the seasonal cuisine. Head sommelier, Hubert Chabot and his team are always happy to give candid and expert advice to find that perfect bottle and every wine on the list has been selected to make your food and wine experience just a bit more special. . .
