  • Wine Dinners

    7pm arrival for 7.30pm

We are delighted to welcome Eric Zwiebel Master Sommelier as our host for the evening. Having previously won 4th best sommelier in Association de la Sommellerie Internationale World Best Sommelier's 2013, he will take us through a sensory tour of Burgundian Grand Cru wine - the best of the best.

There are 32 Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy, accounting for less than 2% of all Burgundy wine production.  Grand Cru wines mention on the label only the producer and name of the vineyard, as in “Montrachet” or “Musigny”. The name of the village is not deemed necessary in the case of these great vineyards. This is a unique event at The Vineyard; the first time that we have raided our cellar to show off some of our very best wines. Often referred to as “the holy grail” of wine producing regions, this will be a dinner not to be missed!

Five course dinner with matching wines £150 per person
Stay the night with breakfast from £173.50 per person*

Celebrate the very best that Berkshire has to offer at the Royal County of Berkshire Show. One of Britain’s biggest and oldest agricultural shows with over 2,000 top animals competing across an action-packed weekend – from Berkshire pigs to mighty cattle – culminating in an exciting Grand Parade of Livestock. This year, there will be a strong fun element with the Shetland Pony Grand National taking pride of place in the main ring and many more attractions spread across 19 other arenas in a vast 150-acre showground. There are plenty of opportunities for families to learn more about rural life, with a mini petting farm, tractor rides and displays of apple juice and bread making.

The popular ‘have a go’ theme continues in the Sports Zone where taster sessions will be offered in everything from Segways to skateboarding, and the Army zone with its inflatable assault course. Hundreds of stands offer a diversity of food, crafts and gifts not available on any high street, representing the best of Berkshire produce alongside some more exotic treats.
