We welcome Toby Faber who has written two works of narrative history on Stradivarius and Fabergé’s Eggs, and has also given many lectures on these two subjects. Between 1885 and 1916, Carl Fabergé made fifty jewelled eggs – Easter presents from Russia’s last two emperors to their wives, which have become the most famous surviving symbols of the Romanov Empire.
