Our Ladies’ Lunches are part of our heritage, and we have been blessed with a wealth of very interesting hosts who share their life stories while guests enjoy a delicious three-course lunch with matching wines.We are so grateful to the ladies who gather together every event and make these occasions so fun. Monday 7th December - Christmas Lunch

12pm to 3pm

Enjoy a Champagne toast on arrival followed by a three course lunch with matching wines, and a glass of bubbles to finish.

Monday 1st February - Alexander McQueen's Biographer

Andrew Wilson is a journalist who has written for the Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and The Observer. He is the author of the first biography of Alexander McQueen, who died in February 2010. It has been written with the blessing and cooperation of the McQueen family and reveals for the first time the source of his dark genius.

Andrew's previous books include: Mad Girl's ove Song: Sylvia Plath and life before Ted; Beautiful Shadow: A Life of Patricia Highsmith the Lying Tongue; Harold Robbins: The Man Who Invented Sex; Shadow of the Titanic: The Extraordinary Stories of Those Who Survived.

We welcome Darphin Experts as our host for this March’s Ladies’ Lunch.

Loved by the press, Darphin’s uniqueness stems from a skilful combination of the finest botanical ingredients and the use of latest technologies. Just like a the craftsmen of fine wines, they craft formulas according to tradition and science using natural ingredients such as Sea Emerald from the Phillippines, Patchouli from Indonesia and Lavendar from the South of France.

The Darphin Experts will share their best tips for anti-ageing while introducing the latest addition to the brand’s comprehensive offer of anti-ageing products to target all signs of ageing and help restore a youthful radiance.

Hosted by our Wnie Director James Hocking, this lunch will prove to be a fantastic journey through a series of remarkable wines from around the world. The only question is, with James' explanations of each wine, is he telling the truth? You decide!

Monday 2nd May - Silvia Campbell: Bespoke Shoemaker

Silvia Campbell is a professional shoe designer who hand-makes bespoke luxury shoes for clients all over the world. Having graduated from Cordwainer’s College, part of the London College of Fashion, Silvia worked with some of the most prestigious shoe and boot makers in the country.

Combining her experience with these inspirational shoe houses, Silvia founded her company in 2007. With a passion for providing luxury footwear using her unique design flair, you will learn about this refreshing insight into the world of bespoke shoemaking for women.

Monday 6th June - Gusbourne Estate: Sparkling Wine

12pm to 3pm

The image of English wine has rocketed in recent years and justly so, with warmer weather conditions improving quality and consistency, along with an increasing demand.

Gusbourne is at the pinnacle of this category and at this lunch, Laura Rhys, Master Sommelier, ex UK Sommelier of the Year, and now part of the dynamic Gusbourne team, will present the wines for you to taste and learn about the grapes and methods of producing wine in our moderate climate. Sure to be a fun event!
