Having the enviable reputation of being the number one hotel for food and wine, we can offer an array of wine themed events, seminars and masterclasses, hosted by James Hocking, Director of Wine, and assisted by our team of Sommeliers. For the serious wine expert or enthusiastic amateur, we can plan a tailored wine event around a half-day, day or weekend. Minimum group numbers apply.

Wine tastings
We try to make these light-hearted and hope you leave feeling that little bit more knowledgeable! California is our speciality, but James and the team can cover every wine producing region in the world - India and Israel included!

Wine masterclasses
For those who really enjoy their wine, we can create a bespoke event from around half a day with our wine team. We’ll cover wine making techniques, the classic grape varieties and include everything from a tutored tasting, how to select good glasses and decanters and how to choose the ‘right’ bottle in a restaurant or wine shop.

Wine weekends
We can create a weekend for parties of up to 15 persons with accommodation based over a Friday and Saturday, covering all aspects of wine together with food matching. This event is personal to the group and can be presented in whichever format you select - from in-depth and educational to a fun weekend!
