The Vineyard at Stockcross made it's foray into the world of fine dining and hospitality when it opened in March 1998, the fruition of a long-held ambition of proprietor Sir Peter Michael.
Sir Peter Michael is also the owner of an excellent winery in Sonoma, and his superbly crafted wines have been rewarded for the last ten years. Renowned wine commentator Robert Parker is full of praise for the Peter Michael limited production.
Based on this heritage, The Vineyard at Stockcross boasts arguably one of the best Californian wines lists in the UK and offers rare wines found in few other places.
The Peter Michael Wine Fair and Wine Challenge
Join us at The Vineyard at Stockcross on 29th and 30th October 2010 for a wine extravaganza!
Friday 29th October
This weekend of wine commences with The Vineyard Cellars Wine Dinner. Join ambassadors from various wineries as their wines are matched with an exquisite tasting menu prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Galmiche's talented brigade. The evening includes a Schramsberg reception, 7-course tasting menu dinner and matched wines.
Saturday 30th October
The Wine Fair opens at 11am in the Music Room, and visitors can meet wine producers, sample wines and benefit from exclusive prices. Places must be booked in advance. During the day, suppliers will give short presentations on their wines. A great opportunity to buy outstanding wine in time for Christmas!
The Wine Challenge will take place from 3pm and offers both amateurs and connoisseurs the chance to test their knowledge in a blind tasting. All are welcome to participate - although pre-registration is necessary. Prizes and awards will be announced during a glittering cocktail reception that evening where all participants and judges will gather.
Prices
Vineyard Cellars Wine Dinner (29th October) - £150 per person (includes entry to the Wine Fair)
Wine Fair ticket only (30th October) £20 first ticket, consecutive tickets for the same party £5 each
Alternatively, you may want to experience the whole weekend. Our special Wine Fair package is £450 per room and includes all of the above, plus overnight accommodation for two, breakfast and a gift boxed bottle of wine to take away.
